Growing recommendations
Seed ground cherries 1/8”deep 5-6 weeks before last frost. Ground cherry seeds are slow to germinate, keep soil moist and be patient. Seed densely and transplant to cells or pots after seedlings develop true leaves. Transplant 18”-24” apart when days are warm and there is no longer any risk of frost (ideally avoiding night temperatures below 7 degrees Celsius). Staking or support is not needed.
